The cephalopods (to which cuttlefish belong) can change colour faster than a chameleon and they can even change their texture and body shape to suit their environment. Their three hearts pump blue blood around their jet powered body, and their members can be found in all oceans of the world - from the tropics to the poles, from tidal regions to the abyss. The cuttlefish is thought to be the among the most intelligent of invertebrates with its ability to learn and invoke trial and error routines. It is an agile creature, with the ability to squeeze through the tiniest of cracks. It also has keen eyes and other senses which rival our own.
